Twitter internal sales tools

Until late 2014, account managers and account executives had many different places to aggregate data from to do their job. Prospective client presentations, quarterly business reports, and even simple weekly customer updates meant hours of work. Given this marbling of data sources, it also meant that our sales team didn't necessarily trust the numbers.

With the Birdseye initiative, we created a single space where our sales teams could look across their entire book of business to help measure their own success. Big features include:

  • Business health numbers
  • up to the minute keyword search queries to help inform targeting strategies
  • Funding source histories and timelines

Birdseye has helped inform the possibilities for a lot of work that came after it, including some really powerful tools we offer to large brands. It's also become an indispensable sandbox for designers to find real data to use when exploring new product ideas.
