Tiny Yellow Picture Frames

Sterling WhiteComment

National Geographic is one of the world's great stoic and dignified publications that has inspired generations to simply go out and see the world that exists.

When three of us opened a coffee shop a few years ago, it seemed like just as good of a reason to buy every issue of National Geographic we could get our hands on to help our customers discover their own inspiring places.

In volume, it's very special to see these covers both front and back evolve through the decades, so I created a little Tumblr where one can browse this tiny sliver of print history.

Please don't tell Rupert Murdoch.

Up into / in to the air

Who can refuse taking pictures out of a plane window at sunset?

Staring out of the plane window is entirely hypnotic. You're flying at speeds that feel impossible, and heights that feel unimaginable. With over 900 photos taken over the last two years having spent lots of time in the air, thought I'd find a place for some of the most compelling ones.
